The signal "not hungry anymore" is coming too late and we ate already more than necessary. That this does not really help to stay slim, that this prevents weight loss, does not really need further explanation.
So, key number one for weight loss is: hunger control. Try to set up a procedure which helps you to control the hunger. For example: when you start feeling hungry, drink a glass of water. This will fill the stomach and many times the hunger will just go and obviously, this will help with the weight loss. If you are still hungry, well then it is time to eat. But eat slowly - give the body time, to react to the actual amount of food you consumed. For weight loss, it is mandatory not to overeat. When the hunger feeling disappears, stop eating.
But controlling the hunger is not the most important item for successful weight loss. Appetite is by far the bigger enemy when it comes to weight loss, because your appetite actually wants food, when there is no demand.
We all know the feeling, when, out of nowhere, the craving for a piece of cake, some chocolate or a bag of chips, becomes overwhelming. That is appetite and if you want to be successful with the weight loss, you better start suppressing this feeling.
It does not need much knowledge to know that eating a bag of chips is absolutely contradicting every effort for weight loss. So, you better don't eat it. Controlling the appetite is absolutely mandatory for successful weight loss.
